R.E.A.C.H - Raising Eternal And Community Hope

II Corinthians 10:13b “…but will boast (celebrate, glory in) only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach even to you.”

Recognize our area of influence.

To Reach those who we were assigned.

GOAL: I believe God has called everyone of you to lead someone to Christ in 2017.

    • We can ignite nations. Ignite - to set afire or to cause to blaze with flames.
    • We can impact a 4 state area.

Impact - the force of impression from one thing on another; a significant or major affect.

    • We can, We will, We must influence culture in a 20 mile radius of TWBC.

Influence - Change Culture

Jeopardy - Living as the “Answer” so people ask “Questions.”

Scripture: John 4:5-11

So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.

A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” (For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” 11 The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.” 13 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”

The Daily Double is when a player is choosing an “Answer” out of a specific “Category” and they get the opportunity to possibly “Double” their score. But, before they see the answer they have to make a decision… How much of their own money they are going to put on the line.

The Daily Double: Jacob’s Well - The whole story takes place at the well. The well may only seem like part of the scenery until you have an experience at it.

What’s Occupying Your Well?

Genesis 26:1-3 & 12-18

Now there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar to Abimelech king of the Philistines. And the LORD appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you. Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

12 And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The LORD blessed him, 13 and the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy. 14 He had possessions of flocks and herds and many servants, so that the Philistines envied him. 15 (Now the Philistines had stopped and filled with earth all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father.) 16 And Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we.” 17 So Isaac departed from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there. 18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them.

Jesus said “The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

What is filling your well and tainting your water?

What circumstances, trials even tragedies have filled you wells so that they are not producing?

The Father is not upset at the size of your shovel, he’s upset if your not using it to dig open what the world is filing.

The man who asked Jesus “…, Help me overcome my unbelief!” Wasn't rejected by Jesus, but his faith was repositioned by Jesus.

Are you using what you have to position you for the harvest?

Who’s Occupying Your Well?

II Samuel 23:14-16

14 David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then at Bethlehem. 15 And David said longingly, “Oh, that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!” 16 Then the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate and carried and brought it to David.

He is not concerned about your skill set, he is concerned if you are using the skills you have. And you have a particular set of skills!

Liam Neeson: Video Clip (https://youtu.be/xlYcaSvfYWw)

Some of us do not understand this “Video Clip” because the Gospel and Jesus has not become personal enough.

Whenever I get attacked with “issues,” health for example, I take it personal. I don’t look at it like an attack but a kidnapping. Someone came into my place and took so much more than a “benefit”. It tried to steal my Jesus and his sacrifice for me.

Believe me, I am developing a particular set of skills.

New Well or New Water?

John 4:10-15

10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” 11 The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep.

Up until now, throughout the spiritual history of the Bible, it seems like a chess match. You have Move & Counter Move… Move & Counter Move.

Jesus doesn’t just make a counter move, He changes the game.

Jesus didn’t come to take back a well, He came and changed the water.

“If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

You are not called to make a move. You are called to change the game.

The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

We must be more aware of the power of God in us than the present evil around us. You are called to change the game.

Today is your Daily Double, just you and the Father, what are you going to put on the line?
