Wow… Look at what God has done!!!
Now they/we must get back to the future.
Famous Line: Marty McFly says, “Wait a minute, Doc. Are you telling me you built a time machine...out of a DeLorean?”
In going back to the future, the DeLorean had to reach 88 mph. Everything started to shake and feel like is was falling apart.
We are in 2020, not just the year but the decade, and it feels like everything is shaking ang falling apart.
So, how do we know if we are just living life, or truly ALIVE to have a great outcome to a shaky start?
So, TWBC, is it time for us to move past the moment and go “Back to the Future.”

Back to the Future Quote:
Marty says, “This is heavy!” Several times throughout the trilogy Marty uses this phrase. He uses it whenever he is stunned or confused – which is often in this trilogy.
At one point, Doc asks him about the phrase: “There’s that word again, ‘heavy.’ Why are things so heavy in the future?
31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” 32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.” 33 So the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?” 34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.
For anything to Grow it requires dirt. Where the disciples saw Dirt, Jesus saw a Harvest.
How many of you have ever felt like dirt? Then get ready for the harvest!
Get ready because what others have counted out, God is counting on!
The disciples saw the dirt that was Samaria.
The Background: Samaria -rejected people, a woman was rejected in society, a woman of the city (5 Husbands), town rejected her.
Jesus didn’t see her dirt; He saw her Harvest!
Jesus also saw the Harvest that was an everlasting covenant to Abraham.
17 The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
The promise was “all the nations of the earth shall be blessed”
Is the promise you are praying for wrapped up in the problem you’re praying against?
The disciples were awaiting the harvest and a Kingdom but all they saw was a bunch of rejected Samaritans. What the disciples saw as the problem was actually the promise.
Who is that co-worker you avoid as the problem?
What part of the city is the problem?
What is that one quality about your spouse you just wish would change?
What is that thing your kid keeps doing?
Look around you this morning, why do you sit by the same people every week?
Because if I get to know those people, I might get dirty?
Or what if they get to know me and I can’t hide my dirt?
Without the Dirt there is no Harvest.
