2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Since the day of Jesus ascension into Heaven, people have speculated and theorized about when He would return. They look at that ‘signs of the times’ or just see how bad society has become and assume that Jesus can’t hold out much longer. Some even feel like the tribulation may already be taking place. While it is important to watch and pray as Jesus instructed, the key to His returning is actually not how bad things get but how quickly the Church reaches the lost. Too many believers sit back and whine and gripe about the immorality they see all around, practically begging Jesus to rescue them from this horrible condition known as Earth. If those same people would put that same amount of effort into reaching their families, co-workers, and neighbors Jesus would be able to come back sooner. According to today’s text, He will return as soon as everyone has had the opportunity to receive Him. Think about it like this, the last person waiting to hear the Gospel message may within arms reach of you! So you actually have a role to play in determining how quickly Jesus returns. One thing is certain, every day that passes brings His return one day closer. It’s time the Church stopped wondering and complaining about what they can’t control and take responsibility for what they can. - Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Ephesians 1:22-23
22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Being a part of the Church is a much bigger deal that most people make of it. The very reason that Jesus died, resurrected, and poured out His Spirit, was so that the Church could be who He was while He was here on the Earth…but on a far greater scale. You play an integral role in His Body today. The fullness, or capacity that He wants the Church to be in the world today isn’t reached without you filling the role that He has designed for you. You are a walking temple, or carrier, of His Sprit. That means that you carry His love, power, grace, and mercy in all of it’s various expressions, with you wherever you go. You are the Church, the Body of Christ displayed uniquely to those in your sphere of influence. This is not a position to be taken lightly. If the Church is going to be everything that He’s called it to be you must take your place and operate in it to fullest measure possible. There are still far too many people in the world who need to know who Jesus is and the Jesus in you can be catalyst that sparks a change in their life for Him. By you, being the you that He has made you, others will see the Jesus that they’ve been looking for their entire life. - Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Matthew 10:8 (TPT)
8 You must continually bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others.

There is a common misconception that it is wrong to expect to be blessed in return when you give. Many well known ministries through the years have been accused of scandals and greed because they preached a so-called ‘prosperity’ doctrine. The breakdown occurs when people give with the purpose of getting back rather than giving simply to bless. There’s nothing wrong with giving and expecting blessings in return because of the Biblical principle of sowing and reaping. But, when you give wanting, or with the motive of getting something in return the you’ve fallen into greed. God gave His Son because He loves you with all of His heart. But He still doesn’t force you to accept that Gift. He gave Him freely, not requiring anything in return. But, by faith He expected a harvest of people to spend eternity with Him because His sacrifice opened the door to all who would receive Him. God gives not to get, but to give more. He gave so you could receive Him. Because of that gift, He could give you His Spirit, Who in return, gives you His gifts. So, to be like Jesus, when you give you should do so with the motivation of being able give more. Giving freely opens you up to receive more, which in turn allows you to give more. Only God could create such an amazing avenue through which He could bless the Earth. - Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Deuteronomy 15:9-10
9 Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. 10 You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.

Many people fail to see the rewarding side of giving because they try to use what they give to control the person or situation they give to. If they give money, they watch closely to see how it’s spent. If they give of their time or talents they try to take charge with their ‘helping’ and attempt to run the show. True giving has no strings attached. It doesn’t judge the recipient for their use of the gift that was given. When you give grudgingly you don’t really give to be a blessing or help. Rather, you give with the intent of changing or controlling someone or something. The purpose behind your giving should be to bless…period. This allows the Holy Spirit to come in and use your gift the way He sees fit and that probably won’t look a lot like what you had in mind. You will soon find out that the reward is in the release. There’s no unneeded pressure or stress because the outcome is not your problem to deal with. You simply release the gift and open yourself up to receive the blessing that the Lord is trying to place in your life through your obedience. - Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Luke 12:32
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Most religious circles give you the impression that you have to almost beg and plead with God to get something from Him. You have to act or pray a certain way and if you don’t get what you’re asking for then you must not be doing something right or He is trying to teach you something like patience or humility. So often God is portrayed as stingy and hard to please. But, according to Jesus in today’s text, God takes pleasure in giving you His Kingdom. That means that He wants you to have access to every promise and benefit that comes from being a child of God. He is not withholding or hiding any good thing from you. When He gave you Jesus, He gave you open access to every blessing that comes with being an heir to His throne. He wants you healthy, He wants you prosperous, and He wants you whole. If there is any area of lack or deficiency in your life the problem is not on the giving end, it’s on the receiving end. If you are not seeing His Kingdom manifesting in your life spend some time in His presence and ask Him where the disconnect is taking place. He will, in His gentle and loving way, show you where the problem lies. He loves you and His hand of generosity is open and extended to meet your every need. - Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Malachi 3:9
You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.

A common area where people get tripped up in their thinking is the area of blessing and cursing. Many people walk in an unholy fear of God as opposed to a holy reverence for Him because of misinterpretation and wrong thinking. Throughout the Bible when a curse is being mentioned, there is hardly an instance where you can find God actually cursing anyone. Even those few instances where it may appear that He is cursing someone, depending upon the translation you're reading, are debatable as to whether or not God is speaking a curse or simply pointing out the fact that a curse came about because of their disobedience. Every time that God has blessed mankind, He has always given them the the option to choose whether or not they receive that blessing or not. Ask yourself this question, “Why would a God Who went through the pain of allowing His Son to take on the curse negate that sacrifice by cursing the very ones that His Son died to redeem?” Walking in blessing or cursing has always been a choice that you as an individual have to make. You, and you alone, have the ability to choose whether or not you’re blessed by walking in obedience or disobedience to His will for your life. He is not watching and waiting to see where you mess up so He can put a curse upon you. Rather, He is looking for any and every available opportunity to pour His blessing out upon your life. Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
