When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
‘When He saw the crowds…’ When you’re waiting in a long line at the grocery store, stuck in traffic, or waiting for a table to open up at your favorite restaurant, what do you see? Do you see a crowd, or do you see people? It is so easy to see a crowd as a hinderance or an obstruction to your plans and schedule but you must change your thought process to recognize the individuals rather than the masses. Compassion pushed Jesus to look deeper than inconvenience or impatience would have allowed Him to see. If you want to have an effect on the lives of people you must be more than sympathetic, you must receive the compassion that the Father has for them. Ask your Heavenly Father to give you eyes of compassion for the people that He puts in your path today.

37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
It is a pretty safe assumption to say that most believers don’t have a heart for the lost. Jesus gives us the remedy for this lack of compassion in today’s scripture text, when He said to “pray earnestly”. Notice that He didn’t say to repent or fast or do anything else that believers may try do to make themselves become more loving toward lost people. Why? Jesus knew even then that you would not be passionate about what you don’t pray about. Are dealing with a lack of compassion in area of reaching people? Start today by praying that God would equip and send people to reach them. If you will add praying for the lost to your daily prayer time, you will soon see a deeper love for them develop within yourself. Then you’ll no doubt find yourself reaching out boldly to those who you never thought you would. It all starts with prayer.

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
As a Partner at Jesus Co., Jesus, your Senior Partner will be looking for results. He has laid out His projections and goals and has even gone out before you to prove that by using His method you can expect to see results. The works that you do must be good. They will be a reflection of God’s love to all those who are touched by them. The good things that you and other partners do will be the foundation upon which Jesus Co. continues to grow and expand. Remember, just because you carry the title of ‘Partner’, doesn’t mean that you are excused from producing results. There is endless opportunity to grow and thrive in the ‘Good Works’ department so let’s get to work and see what good can be done for the Kingdom.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Jesus Co. has a strong community focus. Notice that in today’s scripture text Jesus referred to a ‘city’ on a hill, not a ‘church’ on a hill. That’s because He fully expects His Church to use it’s influence to change cities. A city that has been touched and changed by it’s local churches will be a city that grows and thrives. At Jesus Co., the goal is to see each and every city that has a church have it’s political, educational, economical and social environments be centered on Godly principles and love. From small towns to large cities, as a partner at Jesus Co., you can influence this kind of change. Get involved in your community and be the goodness of God that your local world needs to see.

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The partners at Jesus Co. know that a strong local focus will result in an international revolution as well. Churches with a strong local emphasis will quickly come to a place of hunger for the world as they see how the goodness of God effects their personal homes and communities. There is over 7.6 billion people alive on planet Earth today. The fields truly are ripe for harvest. Continued partnership with Jesus Co. will open your eyes to the commission that He’s given to reach the entire world with the Gospel of Jesus. As believer, you have been given His authority to go global with your good works. Don’t fall into the mindset that you aren’t capable and destined for more. Remember, you’re more than an employee…you’re a partner!
